We decided to show Coco although we knew that he didn’t quite have the body condition that is needed for the show ring.  He wasn’t castrated until the end of March and the operation took quite a bit out of him.  We then turned him away, and before we knew it, his first show was upon him in May. Unfortunately he still looked quite lean & immature against the other yearlings.

The decision to show him or not was difficult to make. We wanted Coco to gain the experience that showing brings. We also wanted him to compete so that Bart’s progeny could be seen.  

Coco did very well considering not been as big in condition as some of his competitors and Marina had very positive comments from the judges.  Overall they the judges were very consistent in their comments mentioned that Coco had correct conformation with beautiful quality & movement and once matured he will be lovely and very much one to follow.

As with our others he will probably be ready just as the showing season draws to an end. We are looking forward to seeing what he will be like as a three year old.
