15hh, Liver Chestnut Mare.

Sire:  Hello Sunny T.B,
Dam: Dhwydd  Becky,  Dams Sire:Wingrove Minkino.
Owner:  Mrs M. Boyes, Pen Y Bryn, Cilcennin, Lampeter.

Marina purchased Lady approximately 7 years ago. Although Marina has the commitments of a job, bringing up her family and running a family business she has still enjoyed competing Lady at riding club, dressage, showing show jumping and cross country, before retiring the mare sound, to stud duties.

Lady’s grand farther who’s the very well known “Wingrove Minkino”, who was by “Bwlch Valentino” and out of “Sarnau Miss Mink”.  These are possibly some of the most famous bloodlines still around today.  At 18, Lady is possibly older than you would want to start breeding with, but been pregnant has really suited this mare as she is thriving in condition and well-being.  We felt that we would love to try and breed from this mare and benefit from her beautiful movement and qualities that she has inherited from these very well known bloodlines.  Lady was inseminated once last year and is now the proud mother of her 1st foal, which is by “BlaenllainDooldeba”.

14th June 2007
Was the night that all the activity happened on the .  Marina had been monitoring Lady on CCTV every hour through the night for the last 3 weeks.  We all had our slight concerns for Lady’s foaling purely because it was her 1st foal and her age.  At around 7pm on the evening of the 14th Marina and her grandson Jordan had been in the stable fusing the mare, Jordan who had been quite intent on sharing his dummy with Lady, was then taken back into the house.  Marina went back to Lady at around 8pm to do stable duties only to find a very soggy new addition to the family in the corner of the stable.  Lady had shown no signs of foaling an hour earlier, was now the very proud mother having done the job very quickly and all by her self.  We felt she was very considerate to have him at a respectable time.  All those sleepless nights and concerns and then she had him in the evening on her own and thankfully totally trouble free.  Lady gave birth to a lovely strong dark brown/ nearly black colt, with a small white star.  Lady is a totally besotted with her baby and it is obvious that she is thriving on been a mum.   Some photos will follow shortly.  We named him Blaenllain Doodleba's Dark Secret (Cocoa))

We collected from Bart and  re- inseminated Lady and again she took 1st time, and on the

19th June 2008,   after a very quick birth approx 15 minutes Lady gave birth to a leggy bright chestnut filly. As yet the filly hasn’t been named.
