Ozzy has
8.5” of bone and is now standing at about 15hh
although he appears much bigger.
He is a very
flash horse with beautiful movement that
covers the ground, with lovely conformation and a good clean jump. He was shown four times as
a foal, winning the
Royal Welsh Welsh Part Bred Foal,
WP&C National Championship Show, 1st
Welsh Part Bred Foal to exceed 14.2hh, NPS Area 28, 1st
Show Hunter Pony foal, United Counties, 1st
Welsh Part Bred Foal. He
was shown once as a yearling in the November 2006 straight from the
field, winning four classes, Show
Hunter Pony, Riding Horse, Welsh Part Bred, and the Part Bred he also
took the four Championships and was the Overall Supreme Yougstock
Championship.
He was
then castrated in May 2007 as a 2yo and turned away to mature, coming
in on New Years
Day 2008.
He has been
very lightly
lunged and loose worked/jumped and has had a saddle and bridle on. We’ve found Ozzy
to be very sane and
sensible and well mannered in everything you would associate with
competing,
e.g. washing, trimming with clippers, loading, travelling on own and in
company, long hours on the lorry, crowds, company, farrier etc. He’s been led
round the country roads and
seen all types of traffic. He
lives in
or out on own or in company, is good to catch, rug, stable etc
We feel Ozzy
has the temperament to be a fantastic all
rounder, and being out of Blaenllain Doodleberry who is by the 16.1hh
liver chestnut
Thoroughbred stallion, “Old Lucky” Ozzy has the
ability and conformation to be
a top class show horse, with the potential to excel in dressage and
eventing.
Old Lucky was also the sire of
the bay gelding “King Solomon III.
King
Solomon III was ridden by Mary King and they were a world class
combination in Three Day Eventing.
From 1994 to 2003 the
combination had some
fantastic wins
& placing’s, including
at Blenheim, Saumur, Achselschwang,
Gatcombe, Burghley, Chatsworth, Badminton & Punchestown
