We have been extremely lucky to have been given the privilege of loaning Emma by the Owners: Mr & Mrs Terry Jones & Mr Oliver Jones of the Penlanganol Stud. We appreciate the influence that Emma has had and the massive importance of a good broodmare has in helping the stallion in producing a quality foal with a good future and job to do.

Emma joined our small pool of broodmares a few years ago. She has such a loving, calm and gentle nature combined with her lovely conformation that to us she is the ideal broodmare. She passes on all her excellent qualities to her progeny and many of them that Jackie and Terry bred using stallions from the well known Maesmynach Stud have gone on to have great success in eventing, showjumping & dressage.

We have had 3 lovely foals out of Emma and by Bart, the first been Blaenllain DB’s Emma’s Sensation, (Squiggle) born 2012, then she had Blaenllain DB’s Sweet Addition (Mazey) born 2013, and the last foal is Blaenllain Sweet Star (Star) born 2015. We are hoping to keep Squiggle & Mazey for my children and would love to keep Star, the other half says I can’t keep them all, so sadly Star is for sale. We are hoping to keep Ms Mole from 2015 foal’s to promote Bart x Pheonix line, so goes back to Emma through Pheonix. It would be lovely to see the Sweet Star (Emma X Bart 2015 foal) Star go and and fulfil her potential and its a fantastic opportunity for someone to be able to purchase a foal from this special cross as Star may be the last foal that Emma has.

Since we were so fond of Emma and she has so many of the qualities and we look for in a broodmare that when her daughter Pheonix came on the market we were very keen to be able to buy her as a asset to our stud. Mother and daughter were once again reunited as mums to be, it’s clear to see they still have a very strong bond and happily play aunty to each others foals.
