By sending your horse to us, it is taken that you are satisfied with our facilities and what we do. Although every care will be taken horses being horses are often on self-destruct!
As a condition of your horse joining us, either overnight’/s or walk in for whatever reason, it is agreed that you will be doing so at the owner’s own risk. You will not hold us or anyone acting on our behalf responsible for any accident, illness, death, loss etc in anyway whatsoever to the horse, any of its connections or equipment etc. You will be responsible for taking advice for adequate and suitable insurance to cover all relevant needs and activities. You will be responsible for all costs incurred and will not hold us responsible an any way.
We endeavour to do our best for any horse and enjoy what we do. We will not tolerate any negativity or abuse either in person or on social media. Legal action will be taken.
All horses visiting us, please make sure as far as you are aware, your horses has not recently been in contact with any horse that has any contagious or infectious diseases.
We welcome you to come and visit us, however please contact us first, to make sure we are home and our kettle will be on.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR FRESH & CHILLED SEMEN 2025
The Nomination Form, On completion and return of the nomination form, you agree to the terms and conditions on our website.
- Nomination forms and payment must be received by Blaenllain & Olympus Stud before semen is dispatched.
- Stud fee, is for the semen and priced for each individual stallion.
- Collection & standard postage fee. Collections are at £85.00 per time. This is in addition to the stud fee, it paid to collect and process the stallion’s semen. It also includes standard postage. Prices may increase at short notice, depending on our suppliers & postage.
- Booking fee / deposit, a non-refundable 15% deposit / booking fee of stud fee. The stallions are restricted to a limited number of mares. To ensure your booking, we must have received a deposit. This is on a first come first served base. All deposits paid will be deducted from your stud fee. Priority will be given to bookings with paid deposits/ booking fees.
- Quality control. We keep semen samples for up to 72 hours. If you are not happy with your collection, the condition it arrived in etc, please let us know as soon as possible.
- Mares pre breeding examination, It is recommended that your mare has had a pre breeding examination by your vet to assess the suitability to inseminate, conceive and carry the pregnancy full term.
- Pregnancy Diagnosis
o We recommend that where possible all mares to be examined by a veterinary surgeon between 16 – 20 days after insemination to confirm pregnancy and to spot possible twinning. Mares should then be scanned again at approx. 28 days to confirm a heartbeat and should twins have been missed, there is a opportunity to remedy this. A further pregnancy scan should be performed in September or as recommend by your veterinary and notify us of the results.
- Covering certificates will be issued on receipt of a positive pregnancy diagnosis, they will be issued after the 1st of October. Please take advice from your vets.
- The nomination is for the current year, named mare, and for one pregnancy only. A change of mares may be possible in certain circumstances, please contact us.
- No Foal, No Fee (occasionally we offer this option)
Fresh & Chilled semen, if the mare is not in-foal by the 1st October of the current year, the stud fee, less the collection fees and deposit/ booking fee, will be returned on receipt of a veterinary certificate confirming that the mare is not in-foal.
- No Foal, Free Return
(Fresh & Chilled semen only) Unlimited attempts for the named mare is included in this stud fee for the current season. Should your mare not conceive in the current season, you are entitled to one attempt the following season (Confirmation from your vets must be sent to us before 1st of October current season). Collection fees applicable Free return, is for the stud fee only, it does not cover collection fee, postage fee, veterinary fees, insemination, livery etc.
- Live Foal Guarantee
- Live foal guarantee, If the foal is carried full term and either stillborn or lost before 7 days of birth, you are to have a free return to the original mare (a different mare may be used by prior agreement). The owner must provide a written confirmation by the vet. Collection fees apply.
- Stallions availability, From time to time, due to training, competition & performance test commitments, injury etc their availability may be limited. However, we will do our best to meet your needs but cannot always guarantee stallion availability. If the situation arouse that the stallion is no longer available, your stud fee will be refunded.
- We reserve the right to refuse to accept any order and to cancel and order already placed (whether semen has already been delivered under the order or not) at any time and at the sole and absolute discretion of Miss Amanda A Jones or anyone acting on her behalf.
- In the event that Amanda Jones or anyone acting on her behalf cancels any order, the full amount paid to Miss AA Jones by the customer will be refunded, unless the customer had already received a dose or more of the semen, in which case the Customer will be refunded the full amount less a deduction for the value if the goods received and collection fees.
- Notification; must be given well in advance of when chilled semen is needed (e.g. please let us know when your mare is coming into season & when your mare has received her first scan). Collections are done onsite; however, staff and stallion timetables need to be arranged. Please notify us of your possible semen requirements at least 24 hours prior to the collection being needed.
- Ordering Semen; Confirmation of ordering chilled semen MUST be received by 8.am on the day it is to be dispatched. Please text me, I will confirm receipt of your text.
- Once payment has been made the order cannot be refunded
- Transport of Semen, Chilled semen will be sent via Royal Mail or courier.
- Meeting deadlines, We will make every attempt to deliver as requested. Due to the many variables associated with this we cannot under any circumstances make any promise of delivery date or even promise availability throughout the season.
- Semen responsibility, Once the semen is in the hands of the courier it is the property of the mare owner. It is the mare owners responsibility to look into insurance etc,
- Semen Choice; as the owner of your mare, the responsibility for the choice of semen and suitability of stallion, lies entirely with you as the client and owner/keeper of the mare
- Sunday & Bank holidays delivery, please note if a semen collection is needed at the weekend, delivery may not be possible on a Sunday, or Bank Holiday and arrangements for collection will need to be made by mare owner.
Standard Postage, we include standard next day delivery in our package in order to keep our package prices down and pass on the savings to you to try and meet all budgets.
- Early (Special) next day delivery is an extra £25.00, (Should be before 9am, but not always met)
- Same / next day delivery / collection / meeting; Subject to driver availability, semen may be bought to meet you or can be collected from us. Please contact us to discuss costs and availability. We aim to be flexible & affordable.
- Semen packaging must be returned within 5 days, there is a replacement charge of £30.00 if not returned within the 5-day period. Please apricate, we have limited boxes, we can only send semen out if we have our boxes back. If you don’t return our box ASAP, you may be stopping semen being sent to someone else.
- We are not in any way endorsing or recommending any third party, stallion etc referred to in the website, fb or contained in information provided by us. It is not our responsibility or liable for any third parity’s actions. We take no responsibility or liability for your decisions
- We are here to help you get your mare in foal and aim to help you as much as we can. We are always looking to improve what we do and take kindly and appreciate advice and knowledge. However, we will not tolerate disrespectful, abusive, bullying, negative behaviour, either in person, internet or on social media in any way.
- Customers are presumed to have read all information and advice imparted verbally or in writing by AAJ. We use reasonable endeavours to ensure all advice provided is accurate and correct. However, AAJ and all acting on her behalf cannot and will not accept liability for any incorrect information. Customers are advice and recommended to verify the accuracy and suitability of all information & decisions themselves, and to discuss all issues with their vets or suitable experts as appropriate.

Mares visiting us will receive every possible care, attention and supervision, but we accept no responsibility whatsoever for any accident, disease, injury etc
Veterinary Treatment – We reserve the right to provide any veterinary treatment considered necessary for the welfare of mare and foal and to charge owners accordingly. In the event of an emergency we will attempt to contact the owner prior to treatment, but if this is not possible, we will administer the treatment we consider most appropriate.
Vets pre breeding examination; all mares visiting us, must have had a recent pre breeding examination from your vets.
Insemination, All mares are inseminated at their owner’s risk and we do not accept responsibility for injury, damage or loss caused through trying or inseminating any mare.
Insurance; All mares visiting us at their owner’s risk, and whilst every veterinary care will be taken we are not liable for any damage, injury or illness to mare or foal. We accept no responsibility for visiting horses and do not provide insurance cover for them during their stay with us. It is the individual responsibility of the owner to have their own comprehensive insurance cover.
Passports & Identity Documents, please appreciate that No mare can be accepted without a Breed Society Passport or Identity Document. DEFRA requires that this must accompany the mare whilst visiting us
Flu and Tetanus, it is recommended that you take advice from your vets re these vaccinations, if your mare is not fully up to date, please be sure she has not been in contact with any infected horses in the month prior to visiting us.
Strangles, please make sure to the best of your knowledge that your mare has not been in contact with any horse that may be at risk of having strangles.
Worming, please ensure you mare is up to date on her worming programme wormed before visiting us. Particularly if she is grazing with us.
Ultrasound Scanning. Mares may be scanned by arrangement in order to determine oestrous condition and pregnancy. Scanning will be performed by a veterinary surgeon and charged to the owner

ACCIDENTS, ILLNESS AND DEATH
a) By choosing to send your horse to us you agree that Amanda A Jones,
or agents, the Boarding Stud shall, in no circumstances, be liable for the death of the Horse or for any accident, injury or illness suffered by the Horse and it shall be for the Owner accordingly to insure the Horse against such risks and for such value as it considers fit.
(b) In the event of the Horse being determined by the Boarding Stud’s
veterinary advisers to be suffering from an injury, condition or illness
necessitating destruction, the Boarding Stud is authorised to procure that the Horse is humanely destroyed as quickly as possible having first made all
reasonable efforts (except in a case where immediate destruction is imperative on humanitarian grounds) to establish contact with the Owner and/or with any insurers detailed to the Boarding Stud by the Owner with a view to reporting the circumstances and the course of action necessitate
