- By using gradual exposure, we quietly and slowly introducing them to as many different experiences as we can, from walking on the road, to loading, washing, farrier, and spook busting etc. We tailor what we introduce to the individual horse / pony.

Stallion choice
- By using our own home bred stallion, or carefully hand picked stallion that we have purchased to join us, we can speak for our selves on the temperament, trainability etc of our stallions.
- From time to time, we keep a youngster back to produce, again we can speak for our selves of the type of temperament a stallion produces,
- Bloodlines; we aim to use proven bloodlines, that are proven in
- Temperament, trainability, willingness soundness, reliability and a good brain that wants to work with you
- Bloodlines that are marketable and sought after.
- Graded or proven themselves through competing in various disciplines, which helps prove their correct conformation, ability and trainability, traits you would like in the progeny
- Relevant health tests.
- Our stallions are CEM, EVA EIA negative.
- PSSM1, all our stallions are PSSM1 clear, so you can be assured they will not pass this horrible distinctive genetic mutation in the gene
- WFFS; Warm blood fragile foal syndrome, Hilkens Charismatic has been tested negative, therefor he will not pass it on
Our mares;
- A selection of our mares have been carefully bred & produced by us with the long term in mind, using bloodlines that we can further develop and compliment our breeding programme.
- With others that we have handpicked for their own individual qualities & type.
- Others having proven themselves in what they do, from general reliable leisure horse to international competition
- Graded where possible or proven themselves in the show ring . performance, pony club pony, family share etc

- Hilkens Charismatic and Blaenllain Doodleba have stock on the ground proving successful in, BD, BE and BS, from local level to International. Doodleba also has stock proven in the showring, including Royal Welsh Champions and Royal International qualifiers.
- Cadlanvalley Celebration first crop of foals were full or quality, lovely temperament and correct conformation.
- Progeny proved to be marketable and viable,
- Have been purchased as foals and youngsters with the long term in mind for people to bring on themselves, enjoying the whole experience and rewards long the way.
