Description

Woburn  is the second foal that we have bred from Penlanganol Pheonix, and is full sister to Blaenllain DB’s Ms Mole. In Autumn 2017, both Woburn and Pheonix were put forward for grading with the Sports Pony Society 2017 Young-stock Evaluation. With Woburn being awarded a Premium and Pheonix graded into the main stud book, it was a successful and rewarding day for such positive comments for our homebred colt. 

Dam; Penlanganol Pheonix; who is sired by MAESMYNACH PRINCIPAL and is out of Langarth Emma, who is a mother for proven competition stock, and we are exceptionally pleased with the cross. The dam line is proven in breeders of successful competition horses in numerous disciplines.  
Pheonix who is approx 15.2hh and slightly smaller than her mum  Emma who was approx 16hh. Pheonix won the Royal Welsh Welsh Part Bred broodmare 2016. To see more on Pheonix or Emma, please visit her page, on broodmares. 

Sire; Blaenllain Doodleba, Bart, On the sire’s side Bart is a multi champion himself and a sire of proven show and performance progeny to a high level. Bart is out of Blaenllain Doodle Berry, who herself competed successfully as a show horse, winning WPB and RH at National level, she also competed in BS and won HT. Doodles sire was the well known TB OLD LUCKY, who sired Marys Kings International eventer,  King SOLOMON III. 

Woburn went to the SSPS grading as  foal, and through no fault of his won as been un- shown since  He was due to come out in hand aiming for the Royal Welsh 2020, but with the current situation, sadly its not to be.
He is very well handled, lives in our out, good to catch, muck out,  with the farrier, and for vaccinations etc. He has been led round the roads, and seen country traffic, hes been led in company and on his own, and always been very sensible. He is currently been turned out with mares. enjoying the grass.

Woburn has lots of jobs he could do, inc, WPB, PBA, in hand and under saddle, SJ,  BD and BE, Riding Horse, SHP /WHP  depending on finish height, .
